About Justin's Trust
Justin’s Trust is a charity registered with the Charity Commission of the UK, registered charity No: 1128182. The charity was established by Chrissi and Chris May with two main aims:
- To relieve the suffering of dogs in countries of the European Union (“EU”) in need of care and attention and, in particular, to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such dogs.
- To promote humane behaviour towards dogs in countries of the EU by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for such dogs which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to canine welfare in countries in the EU in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among dogs in countries of the EU in particular.
To achieve these aims, Justin’s Trust:
- Operates in countries of the EU where there are large stray abandoned or mistreated dog populations and where national charities or other organisations supporting canine welfare are lacking.
- Provides facilities and personnel for the sanctuary, care and re-homing of stray abandoned and mistreated dogs.
- Provides educational material to promote humane behaviour towards dogs and to promote an understanding of canine welfare.
